　　庙会(temple fair)是中国一种传统的节日活动。它源于古代人们的祭祀仪式(sacrificial ceremony)，逐渐演变成物品交流的集市和文化表演的场所。庙会一般在寺庙里或寺庙附近的空地上举行。虽然各地举办庙会的日子有所不同，但活动内容都差不多。老百姓从四面八方赶来，买卖物品、观看表演、品尝小吃。近几年来，庙会已经成为人们欣赏民间艺术和体验传统文化的首选之地。

　　1.第2句中的“它源于……，逐渐演变成……。”可处理成一个并列结构，译作it originated from... and gradually evolved into...。翻译“物品交流的集市”时，为了符合英语的表达习惯，宜增译出施动者“人们”， 表达为 a marketplace for people to exchange articles。祭祀仪式还可译为 ritual ceremony。

　　2.第3句中的定语“在寺庙里或寺庙附近的”较长，故将其处理成后置定语，用in or near a temple来表达， 两个“寺庙”翻译一个即可。
