　　1. 论述优劣：

　　Despite a few problems, the _____’s advantages clearly outweigh its disadvantages.

　　尽管存在一些问题，xxx的优势仍然大于劣势。

　　The merits and demerits of xxx were widely discussed in social media.

　　xxx的优缺点在社交媒体上引起了广泛的讨论。

　　同义替换词：

　　advantage——benefit, merit, plus point

　　disadvantage——drawback, downside, bad point

　　2. 论述因果：

　　It is acknowledged that  A   is a contributing factor in the development of  B   .

　　A是B发展过程中的主要因素，这是大家公认的。

　　Almost certainly, the underlying cause of  A  is  B  .

　　我们几乎能确定，B是A的深层原因。

　　A   lies at the root of   B   . （A是B的主要原因，注意根据实际情况调整谓语动词的单复数）

　　同义替换词:

　　cause, result in, lead to——bring about, give rise to, be responsible for, trigger

　　be caused by, result from——arise from, stem from

　　3. 总结：

　　in conclusion——to summarize, to sum up

　　xxx can be summarized as follows.

　　the following conclusions may be drawn.

　　the main conclusion to be drawn is that...

　　4. 解决方案：

　　In this essay I shall consider the main causes of the problem of  A  , and try to put forward some possible solutions.

　　在这篇文章中，我将考虑A问题的主要原因，并试着提出一些解决方案。

　　I believe that the only answer to the problem of  A  (doing/n.)  is to  B (do sth.).

　　我认为A问题的唯一解决方案就是B。

　　The only cure for  A (doing/n.)  is to  B (do sth_)  .

　　The prescription for  A  seems to be to   B (do sth.)  .

　　5. 表达观点：

　　I think——it seems to me that.../sb. of the opinion that.../sb. take the view that....

　　6. 进一步解释说明过渡词：

　　this means that/which means that...

　　in other words——to put it another way,/to put it simply, /specifically
