　　中国南海可燃冰于2013年开钻取样,可供中国用 135 年。根据掌握的情况,中国南海的可燃冰可能主要集中在东沙、西沙和神狐等海域。 2017 年 5 月18 日,南海可燃冰试采成功。 可燃冰,又名天然气水合物,被称为能满足人类使用 1 000 年的新能源,是今后替代石油、煤等传统能源的首选。它是甲烷和水在海底高压低温下形成的白色固体燃料,可以被直接点燃。 1 立方米可燃冰可释放出 160 ~ 180 立方米的天然气,其能量密度是煤的 10 倍,而且燃烧后不产生任何残渣和废气。

　　Combustible ice, also known as the natural gas hydrate( NGH), is referred to as a new source of energy that can meet humans needs for 1,000 years and the pre- ferred alternative taking the place of conventional energy sources such as oil and coal in the future. It is a white solid fuel composed of methane and water at low temperature and high pressure at the bottom of the ocean floor, which can be ignited directly. One cubic meter of flammable ice can release 160 to 180 cubic meters of natural gas, which is 10 times more energy than coal and does not produce any resi-due or waste gases after burning.
