　　四级词汇讲解:

　　本句的主干是并列句，由and连接两个分句。第一个分句的主干结构是you will believe，其中，thatthis...you actually have是由that引导的宾语从句，作believe的宾语，该宾语从句的句型结构是“more...than+(that)从句”，表示“远非，超过”;第二个分句的主于结构是you will end up。

　　as the deadline draws near是由as引导的时间状语从句。end up doing sth.是“结束做某事”的意思.如:

　　At first he argued it wasn't his fault, but he ended up apologizing.一开始他争辩说不是他的错，但最后还是道了歉。

　　stare at sb./sth.是“对(某人/某物)盯着看”的意思。如:

　　He has been staring at her since she came in the room.自从她进了门，他就一直盯着她看。

　　deadline的意思是“最后期限”draw的意思是“向(某方向)移动”，可以引申为“临近，接近”。

　　四级考点归纳:

　　more than和more...than通常被翻译成“超过，比……多”，但有时候，它们并不表示比较，且在不同的句型中有不同的含义。

　　"more than+名词”表示“不止，不仅仅是”。如:

　　He is more than her business partner.他不仅仅是她的生意伙伴。

　　"more than+形容词或动词”用来加强语气，表示“非常，很”。如:

　　She is more than beautiful.她美得无法形容。

　　"more...than + that从句"， that可以省略，表示“远非，超过”。如:

　　The work is more difficult than ( that ) I can imagine.这项工作的难度远非我所能想象的。

　　more...than表示“与其说……，倒不如说”。如:

　　She is more frightened than hurt.与其说她伤着了，倒不如说她受了惊吓。
